Works done by Tanneri Samuha Nepal
The participation of young and energetic members in Tanneri Samuha Nepal made it successful to gain good reputation among the villagers where TSN is actively doing it's jobs.

As a proof of a successful running of an organization we have been able to do some very valuable works which are proudly listed below with short introduction:

Improvement of Sanitation & drinking water condition
As organization’s first program, TSN chose ward no-7 of Chitlang VDC as field. This village was chosen because it was one of the wards in VDC not touched by motor roads, the informal education launched by other NGOs failed.

After visiting the village we saw the sanitation condition of the tap was bad, the pipelines were broken at many places and water tank was dirty. So we repaired broken pipelines, organized tap and tank cleaning programs each week. For that we formed two groups and after one week, we had nothing to do as local people themselves continued the program on our supervision. At first local people rarely appeared in our program but later on participation highly increased. They did every thing, we only coordinated.

Informal Education
Since we began working in Kalantu village, we did not commit mistake of imposing idea. To avoid such mistakes, we frequently interacted with local people, especially women. As soon as they felt comfortable with us, in one of such interaction, we suggest them to find the problem they are facing & its root cause. They pointed out lack of education in one of the major cause and demanded to manage informal classes.

It was notable for us as a year of two before, national level organization had tried to conduct informal education, But due to lack of support from local people it could not get to the action. So we were more than happy and into time accepted their demand. We brought book from COSAN, appointed local person (Keshab Gamal) as local instructor with some allowances. In this way we taught them for 6 months. Local person Bishow lal Gamal provided class room; stationeries were bought by them selves. It was managed classes on different contemporary issues by experts during that period.

Parijat Library
What ever revolution the science has brought in learning system but books and paper medium will be never replaced. For the country like Nepal books and paper are the key sources of learning knowledge, so after the formation of TSN, it inaugurated a village library in ward no 2 Chitlang VDC, Parijat Memorial Library Honoring progressive laureate Parijat. Local farmer and well wisher Ram Kaji K.c. provided us a room for library and TSN’s members and other well wisher donated books what ever they could. Our reader demanded the weekly and monthly paper/ magazine. We managed for some weekly on our own expenses. Similarly Himal Media Pvt ltd provided Himal Khabar Patrika for Two years; Interaction Publication provided Nava Yuwa and Mulyankan for 3 years. Mrs Sukanya Waiba the president of Parijat Memorial academy (Sister of Parijat) donated us 6 volumes of collection of creation of Parijat, Published by Nirman Prakation Sikkim & a framed picture of Parijat.

We regret to reveal the fact that some of hooligan broke the library once and burnt all the important books, we felt sorry but not scared and soon open it buying new books.

For library’s expansion we asked help from Read Nepal, an organization that claim to support to inaugurated library but we were probably not fortunate enough to get support & our proposal was not listened.

Primary level inter school Quiz Contest
To enhance education level of Chitlang VDC, TSN organized primary level Quiz Contest among school within Chitlang VDC for 3 years continuously. It provided the platform to check the knowledge level of student of different school. But due to lack of financial support we could not continue there after. But we feel proud to say that we got support from music Nepal, International Forum Magazine for some prizes.

Health Camp
TSN had regularly established health camp and First Aid Camp in different fairs and festivals in Chitlang.

Similarly, its sister organization Parijat memorial organized health camp at ward no 2 of Chitlang VDC. Associate professor Dr Kumar Thapa T.U. also gave lecture on community health in the camp.

It has mobilized its volunteer for Polio Day each year and published pamphlets to aware the need of Polio Vaccine.

Seminar to End Child Labour Exploitation
The Gramin Uthan Sastha, ward no 6, Wompudole and Parijat memorial Library joint organized seminar at Taukhel aiming to end Child Labour Exploitation. Participants in seminar were local bodies, schools and different Local clubs. On the same day evening a drama with morale to end Child Labour exploitation was presented.

Wall Paper Magazine (Tanneri Awaz)
TSN felt the voice of local people should also be heard and that inspired us to publish a wall paper named Tanneri Awaj. It gave useful information to local people and gave plat form to express their voice. First it got published monthly and later bi-monthly, it was distributed and pasted on wall at different public places of Chitlang VDC.
